Reading Opens Minds…
July 8th, 2011
A fledgling non-profit emerges…
Reading Opens Minds brings the Book Club experience to County Jails, Health Clinics and Half-Way Houses.
Book Clubs are a wonderful way to bond with peers through reading and discussing quality literature. Reading ignites the imagination and participating in passionate discussions about what’s been read broadens the mind and allows for deeper social connection.
Presently, ROM is being considered for the Community Partners Incubator Project which would allow for fund-raising and other events under CP’s tax exempt status…

The Valentine’s Day Project
What makes relationships work? Do we each have a soul-mate or are there any number of possible people with whom we can build a life? How have the recent advancements in communication (Facebook, Skype etc) effected our relationships?
Between this Valentine’s Day 2011 and Valentine’s Day 2012 I am on a quest to find out…

Women’s Book Club
Hosted by the Venice Family Clinic in cooperation with the Women’s Center of LA and sponsored by the wonderful people at LitWorld, Random House and Penguin Books, the first meeting of the Women’s Book Club is upon us!
This club is a place where women who perhaps wouldn’t ordinarily have the opportunity to read and discuss books – be it for reasons of time, finances, illness etc – can meet one Monday a month and share books and insights.
Our first text, “Break Any Woman Down” by Dana Johnson is generously donated by Random House!
Stay tuned for more….

News…
January 24th, 2010
As of Tuesday, Jan. 26th I will be in the company of the wonderful actors of “Female of the Species” to open at the Geffen in February, running until March 14.
I am understudying the role of Tess, played by Mireille Enos. Other cast members are Josh Stamberg, Merritt Wever, David Arquette and Annette Benning…. Can’t wait to get into rehearsal to see how they have breathed life into the script – which is already quite fabulous, written by Joanna Murray-Smith.
For tickets and info click the Geffen link: http://www.geffenplayhouse.com/
